Job Title: Senior Technical Administrator

Role Overview:

An exciting opportunity is available for a Senior Technical Administrator to design, manage, and support core infrastructure systems, including LAN/WAN networks, servers, storage solutions, firewalls, hyperconverged systems, and cloud platforms. This role involves ensuring the stability, integrity, and efficiency of in-house voice, data, video, and wireless services. Ideal candidates will demonstrate a strong command of security principles, advanced troubleshooting capabilities, and the ability to lead and mentor other administrators within the team.

Key Responsibilities:

Networking:

Develop and maintain documentation related to network configuration, mapping, processes, and service records.
Design and implement policies, procedures, and training for network administration, usage, and disaster recovery.
Strategically assess network capacity to ensure scalability and reliability.
Deploy LAN, WAN, and wireless networks, including essential hardware (routers, switches, etc.).
Implement and manage VOIP systems, including server, phone, and fax configurations.
Monitor and optimize network performance and troubleshoot issues as needed.
Ensure connectivity and security across all servers, workstations, telephony equipment, and network appliances.

Systems:

Design, deploy, and enhance applications, software, and operating platforms.
Conduct cost-benefit analyses to inform decision-making.
Collaborate with vendors and contractors to secure system-related products and services.
Develop and implement server and security audits, backup procedures, and recovery processes.
Integrate and monitor enterprise systems, ensuring connectivity across shared software, groupware, and applications.

Qualifications:

Education: High school degree or equivalent required.
Experience:
Minimum of 8 years in technical engineering/administration with an emphasis on infrastructure management.
Expertise in LAN, WAN, WLAN, and WWAN, network security, and VOIP systems.
Advanced skills with testing tools for voice/data circuits and experience with Cisco, Fortinet, and HP network solutions.
Knowledge of VLAN architectures, OSI model, B2B VPNs, and hyperconverged solutions like Nutanix.
Proficiency with cloud platforms (Azure, Google Cloud, Oracle) and virtual workload management (Citrix/VMWare).
Experience with backup solutions, disaster recovery, and high-availability options.
